Dan Feder: Belief in a Great Cause

Dan Feder was raised by a great man, David Feder, who served in the Paratrooper Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces, or IDF. Dan Feder has carried on his dad’s love for the organization through his involvement in the San Diego IDF chapter. Dan’s dad passed away in 1993 in a tragic car accident when he was only 47 years old. This year Dan Feder was co-chairman of the organization committee for a fundraising event that raised $40,000 for scholarships for retired combat soldiers.

Dan Feder grew up traveling outside the United States, and he was not very old when he decided that his favorite place to visit is Israel. Many people have died defending Israel as part of the Israel Defense Forces, and Dan Feder jumped at the chance to participate in the San Diego chapter. There are only 13 chapters of the Friends of IDF across the U.S., so Dan Feder feels fortunate to have one so close to home.

The Guys Night Out event was dedicated to the memory of Dan Feder’s father, and that gave him a deep sense of accomplishment when the event raised so much money. There were more than 130 participants, but Dan Feder had time to speak with many of the attendees. Many of his conversations turned to memories of his dad, but he also reminded people that the real focus was supposed to be on the retired combat soldiers and their need for education.

Dan Feder has become a successful business man, and his business requires a great deal of his time. He keeps the FIDF near the top of his priority list because he believes in the cause. He wants to honor his dad’s memory and remember to give all that he can to the people who fight to defend the State of Israel.

The University of Southern California (USC) has a long history of recognizing the achievements of alumni who have shown amazing achievements since graduation. Merit awards, acknowledgements and service recognitions are given to thank alumni for their contributions to the community. The award is a prestigious recognition of past USC students, and it is no surprise that Dan Feder was given the award for his amazing contributions.

Dan Feder was recognized by USC as the Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year. This prestigious award showed that his efforts to create a sound business was recognized and acknowledged by the school. The company he built from the ground up stood out among his peers and resulted in a special recognition that he has been successful above and beyond the expectations of the school that provided him with a business degree in entrepreneurial studies.

The USC Marshall School of Business is considered one of the best institutions for providing students with a foundation in business studies. The school looks at business as an art, and strives to provide students with the necessary tools to reach success in a highly competitive business world.

Among the programs offered, the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is considered one of the top schools in its field. The type of education Mr. Feder received in college gave him the necessary tools to reach for success. While all students in the program are taught the necessary organization and management skills, along with the business necessities that are required to start a business, few receive the prestigious USC Award. It was only after almost 10 years of success and growth that he was acknowledged as one of the great entrepreneurs to graduate from USC Marshall’s Entrepreneurial Studies program. The award shows that while all students are expected to reach success, some stand out among their peers and work harder to make a real difference in the world around them.

The achievements of Mr. Feder’s business, along with his interest in giving back to the community around him, have set him apart from his peers. His strong values and work ethic, as well as the help he provides others, has resulted in receiving a prestigious award.

Dan Feder: Still a Student

Nearly 10 years after graduating from the USC Marshall School of Business, Dan Feder realizes that the learning never ends. As an alumnus of the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, he has used his strong educational foundation to face the challenges of building a business from the ground up. All of those tools have provided important information for running a start-up, but more importantly, he was given a thirst for more knowledge. The learning will never end as long as competitors, technology and regulation drive the external challenges. Leading a business presents him with the opportunity to encourage other people to continue their own education as well.

His love for learning started at a very young age because his parents emphasized the importance of following his dreams. They wanted him to know everything possible about his heritage and to love America because the possibilities are endless. He embraced their love of learning and had enormous dreams from the time he was in high school. His dream to become a business owner started early, but he knew the work required would be challenging. His responsibility to others continues to grow, and he wants them to be life-long learners as well. He knows that employees that love to learn are happier and more productive.

His private life is filled with interests that have required use of his business skills as well as the need to learn more about the best methods to organize special events. His efforts with the Friends of Israel Defense Forces provided an opportunity to learn more about the history of the organization and what type of event would be of most interest. In April, he co-hosted a Guys’ Night Out that was intended to raise a large sum of money to benefit former combat soldiers. Throughout the months leading up to the event, he sought out more information about every aspect of the effort.

He knows that he has been given a great deal so far in life. Much of his community involvement is focused on giving back. Each effort is accompanied by learning more about people, which develops into another interest that will drive him to learn all that he can. His hope is that his love for learning is contagious for people at work, in his family and in the community. He knows that living a lifestyle of learning is the best way to set the example for others to follow.
